Ash's 21st Birthday Body Weight loss mission. Now-Dec 22nd 2012

So as we all know, I'm no small chick. Although I've been dwindling down since the end of 2009, it was only the result of changing my eating habits, not necessarily being a gym rat. I shed 50 pounds as stated before by cutting out red meat, eating tons of veggies, cutting out meat all together for about 2 years (but I do occassionally eat my chicken/turkey) and drinking lots and lots of water, tuna, seafood(!), and eating little meals all throughout the day.

Now, due to the holiday season (shakes head) I gained about 15 pounds! I was at 200 and happy about it, but 10+ days of dressing, mac and cheese, yams, etc...it was a wrap.

Since then I've dropped 7 of those so I'm almost there, but I'm realizing that I have to step it up a notch because of a promise I made to myself when I was about 12 years old...that no matter what, by the time I'm 21, I will have the body that I want (or at least pretty darn close to it). Now don't get me wrong, I love my body but I wouldn't mind getting rid of a roll or two, or to have more toned thighs, arms and a nice(r) stomach. I want to be healthier, I don't want to be controlled by my appetite, and honestly...I want to dress like a little hoochie in the summertime! I want my booty shorts and my baby tee tanks (tastefully though), and when I go on vacation to a nice beach I don't want to be the lady in the T-shirt and capri shorts. I love being able to try different things when it comes to my clothing...I have an ever changing style and don't want it to be limited by my weight, so I'm gonna nip that in the bud. Now there ARE women who wear their extra curves fashionably fly, fierce, and tasteful and I love them for that, but this is what I want for me.

So in about 11 months, I'm trying to go from:

This<<<<<< To this!
(I uploaded my photo to weightmirror.com)

Get rid of that roll and batwings

and end up looking like this on my cruise for my 21st birthday. I'm down. Lol

My Plan:
 I've started reading

This book by Dr. Mike
Moreno, will help me target the visceral/belly fat that is controlling my appetite. (The hormones produced by visceral fat influence your cravings and appetite, it basically can cause you to eat more. Sad huh?

This book is interesting to me for various reasons, one being that i don't like to take medicine to cure anything, so if I can eat it off....trust me, that will work just fine. I'm reading this book to learn how to control my specific cravings. I have the body type that craves bread. Some people crave sweets, or salts, meats or spicy foods and these reasons are not beyond our control. I've learned that for someone who craves bread, you more than likely need to eat more lean meats (eh) or eggs, etc to fill up on your body's need for protein...so more protein it is! (Which can be found in all leafy greens, beans, and seafood ^_^)

I also have Jillian Michaels "Fitness Ultimatum 2010" for Wii and you can customize an exercise plan for up to six months and it is sooo cool and interactive. You can choose the location of your workout: The beach, rocky mountains, a crazy fire looking location, as well as your background music.
The workouts range from simple strength exercises like lunges, kickbacks, squats, crunches to high intensity circuit training workouts. I've set up my 6 month schedule to do this workout every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I will be doing Prevention Fitness System's "Dance it off" which includes 4 dance routines: Hip-Hop, Jazz, Ballet, and Latin. I will be doing all four of those because I LOVE to dance, they are super fun and I will rack up about an hour of cardio easily.

Sundays I will rest. Maybe do some extra strength exercise if I feel the need.

My eating will stay the same, but I will invest in making sure that my diet consists of higher protein to curb my bread cravings and help build muscle where I want to!

How about you? Any 2012 goals?
